VEHICLE TAB RENEWALS IN WASHINGTON
Online tab renewals through the Washington State DOL are a convenient option for many customers. When renewing online, you can select our office as your designated pickup location, or choose to have us mail your tabs directly to your address.
We process our online pickup queue throughout the day to ensure a short wait when you arrive. For pickup at our Tacoma office, we do not have a separate pickup line due to lobby size, however we routinely call out for online pickups to expedite your visit. Please have your driver license/ID ready; online orders are filed alphabetically. (See FAQ for picking up on behalf of someone else.) For our Fife office, please wait at the Internet Pickup workstation closest to the front entrance for a VLR to assist you. Please have your ID ready, as online orders are filed alphabetically. (See FAQ for picking up on behalf of someone else.)
About online fees
Washington State DOL charges a 3% processing fee for all online renewal transactions.
If you prefer to avoid online processing fees, our office accepts:
- Cash or check — no fee
- Debit cards — flat $2.25 fee
- Credit cards — 3% fee
The only time our office charges a 3% fee is for credit card payments
